Keep It on All Fours
Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Crafts / Special Effects / 2006
The scene appears to be a rodeo. Spectators enter and take their seats as the excitement swells. The first rider - a cocksure young man with an overconfident grin - gets set to ride. The buzzer sounds and the gate swings open, unleashing the young man on top of an extraordinary creature. A huge beast with headlights for eyes and a grill for a snout, this is an Esuvee. The young man fails to ride successfully; cornering too fast he rolls his beast violently to the ground. A stranger reveals the story of the Esuvee, and delivers some tips on riding an Esuvee masterfully. The final rider is unleashed from the pen, and using the techniques necessary to master an Esuvee, rides triumphantly as the crowd cheers him to victory.
