Gavin Martin Associates Moving Card
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Direct Mail / 2006
NB Studio were asked to design a piece of direct mail to announce that the printer Gavin Martin Associates had moved to new offices. Taking cue from their new location, The Tea Building in Shoreditch, they decided to lavishly letterpress the typography onto card. The next step was to hand-stain all 1000 cards with a tea ring to reflect the idea of removal men leaving tea stains all over the office. Four different versions were created using Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Roiboos and English Breakfast teas instead of cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks. This alternative printing method reflected Gavin Martin’s own experimental approach and made every card unique.
