The poem Silent Sea by Rachel Boast chosen for the project describes and addresses the calamitous environmental impact of an oil spill at sea.

Silent Sea aims is to educate and raise awareness of the environmental impact of these disastrous events. The typographic campaign in conjunction with the development of a mobile application and global database aims to allow users to report oil spills and environmental marine incidents at a local level filling the significant gap in the current under reporting and monitoring of smaller scale incidents. Allowing individuals globally to report, monitor and better track oil and petroleum spills at sea in order to minimise the catastrophic impact on marine life and the environment.
