The average healthy eye should blink 21 times per minute, but mobile game players only blink 4 times per minute, which causes them to develop eye dryness and, ultimately, myopia.
At 21GRAMS, we aim to protect people's eye health. That's why we teamed up with Call of Duty Mobile, a game played by 15 million Gen Z daily, and we removed the shooting button from the screen. To shoot, players had to blink their eyes.
This action took mobile gamers' blinking rates back up, and it helped create a habit to blink more often, even while staring at a screen.
