New Blood Entry — Hidden in Plain Sight

Women in developing countries don’t have the same access to sexual health advice and contraception as in the West. To combat this issue in East Africa, we’ll reposition midwives as sexual health advisors for teenage girls. This is a region with high teen pregnancy rates, that in turn disrupt education and contribute to overpopulation.

Our campaign uses kangas to bridge a link between young women and midwives, as contact cards and canvases for sexual health information which can only be read and understood by the young women themselves. This encoded piece of communication both protects their education and the climate.
