As migrants often lose their mobile phones while leaving their home countries or run out of data, it is hard for them to get in touch with their families when they arrive.
GiffGaff wanted to help them, by encouraging people to donate their old mobile phones to refugees. We placed some billboards around the city to show their difficult journey and raise awareness about the problem. The percentage of people who joined the initiative appeared on the screens, also providing an indication on the country’s general feeling on the matter.
