New Blood Entry — Duovision

When the Eurovision song contest abolished the rule that required participants to sing in their country’s official language in 1999, English language songs began to reign supreme. Of the 23 winners since, only 5 non-English, or partially non-English songs have won. We knew that Duolingo would want to do something about this, and inspire people to do their daily lessons in the process.

Enter Duovision: the ultimate language celebration collaboration, a 7-day long event where Eurovision legends will prompt you to use your ad break time to complete lessons, you’ll be able to sing along with Duolingo subtitles, and, with Duo on the decks, Eurovision legends will take to the stage together in a once-in-a-lifetime halftime performance.
