New Blood Entry — Let's Talk about Eggs
The Case for Her & Refinery29 / 2021
As a 21-year-old woman, I didn’t know that I’m born with all my eggs which means they can “run out” and I’m not the only one. I understand menopause can be overwhelming and isolating especially with a mum currently in the stages of perimenopause. I created this campaign for her and to see the taboo subject from a new perspective by taking it to the one place everyone goes; the shops. Let’s talk about eggs is a friendly reminder to all genders and ages to start the conversation and be educated on the topic of menopause.

What did the judges have to say?
"I loved the three final Yellow Pencils we picked. What was so brilliant about Let's Talk About Eggs - it removed the negative notion of 'women losing their eggs and time’s ticking' to bring awareness and conversation. It's such a simple way to bring that conversation to your everyday shopping. I found the design execution brilliant and inviting, I can definitely see this in stores sparking numerous conversations."
Sabina Begum, Creative Director, UK & Europe, Noisy Beast
"Lets Talk About Eggs really looked at it differently and brought the conversation home."
Neville Shah, Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather
"Fantastic idea that makes a medical truth around menopause an interesting point of conversation accessible via a place we all go to...the market."
Omisade Burney-Scott, Creator/Curator, Black Girl's Guide to Surviving Menopause
"Lets Talk About Eggs would make info available to a huge number of people."
