Spotify does a great job of bringing us all together, but in order to connect with others, we have to leave the platform. There’s a balance to be found—one between listening and being social directly on the Spotify platform. To achieve it, we’re putting our friends back into the audio discovery algorithm with Spotify Snippets. Snippets is a feed of audio stories that empowers users to discover more new audio content than ever before, because it’s not only the Spotify algorithm recommending it anymore. Recommendations will take the form of stories on the Snippets feed, posted by friends or artists.
