Students are becoming increasingly indifferent to reading, and fewer students are opting to take English Literature at A-Level. For many, these feelings of indifference are because they can't relate to the characters in the books taught at school.
Find Your Character gamifies the process of finding literature students can relate to by letting them create the characters they want to see in novels. Characters are created through the app, then analysed and matched with book recommendations that reflect their attributes.
The result: students have access to books they'd find interesting, containing relatable characters and themes.
Providing a fun way to find books with personal relevance will help curb feelings of disillusionment towards reading.
