Children whose parents are detained or imprisoned are an invisible and highly vulnerable community.

With the prison population growing in the UK, it is leaving more children suffering.

It's important for kids to stay connected with their parents whilst in prison but children find visiting prisons upsetting, frightening and extremely daunting.

So giffgaff has partnered with Barnardo’s to create ‘Linkup'. A VR arcade placed around the UK and prisons.

This gives the children a chance to connect with their parents allowing them to socialise together. Using the power of 5G and the low latency it provides, the family will get a more realistic experience `as if they are in the room together, providing a more natural parent and child interaction.
