New Blood Entry — Microsoft Portfolio
Microsoft Surface / 2019
The educational system and parents don’t see opportunity in creativity, only a dead end, which feeds to the starving artist mentality.
Creativite pursuit dies in high school because kids do not receive the encouragement and support that would drive them to succeed in pursuing their creative interests further as a career.
To help change the perception of creative careers, Microsoft will educate and empower a new generation of creative thinkers with a VR experience using the Hololens.
It will exhibit different steps of the design process, and allow participants to make design choices along the way.
Additionally, it will list all of the creatives it took to actually make the featured item, exposing students and their parents to a variety of creative careers that have made the things they enjoy.
The experience then introduces Microsoft Portfolio, an online platform created to virtually assist high school students planning to attend art schools.
It will make the portfolio easy to submit through the service directly to your top schools by automatically adapting it to each school’s guidelines.
Supporting high school students beginning their creative journey is the first step to transforming passions into careers.
