With Audible and Spotify dominating the storytelling space, BBC Sounds needs a unique feature to stand out. So we uploaded the BBC's entire library of audio described TV shows to the Sounds app... without the visuals.
'Narration' is a section within the BBC Sounds app where, instead of watching TV shows, people can listen to them. And with young people multitasking more than ever, 'Narration' can offer them a way of enjoying the best BBC shows without being glued to the screen.
'Narration' not only lets people enjoy BBC shows while doing other things - it also gathers all the BBC's audio described TV shows in one place, making them easier to find for their intended audience - the blind and partially sighted.
