A synthesis of traditional lucky charms and Ford’s InfoCycle and E-Bike technology, Ford Fu (福) enables safe urban mobility for Shanghai’s elderly. With discrete proximity pings and buzz alerts, the nifty token provides timely reminders for users on both sides of the road. A click of the charm sends a GPS check-in to a registered loved-one, two clicks dials a taxi to that location, and a third alerts emergency services. Collected data identifies real distress points for the future, truly restoring the safety and joy of mobility, one tech-confident granny at a time.
