New Blood Entry — Hayao Miyazaki

I based my project around the Japanese film director and animator Hayao Miyazaki. His Company, Studio Ghibli, will be celebrating 30 years of work this June, and using this information, I was able to create a fictitious cinema event in celebration of this over that weekend.

As Miyazaki strongly believes in traditional animation, I was able to replicate this within my poster (etc) through the use of hand rendered typography. The three films of Miyazaki's I chose to focus on were 'My Neighbour Totoro', 'Princess Mononoke' and 'Spirited Away', which all feature strong links to nature.
