Every year on 4th May, at exactly 8pm, everyone in the Netherlands observes a two-minute silence to commemorate the victims of the Second World War. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep the memory of the war alive, as the older generations that experienced the war are disappearing. MMS Communications Netherlands helped to give younger generations stories to think about during the two-minute silence by asking WWII survivors and their relatives to share their stories. Each story lasts two minutes – the same amount of time as the national silence.
