With the Sensory Auction, Bombay revolutionised the traditional art auction by letting participants bid with their senses instead of money. Neuroaesthetic technology was used to measure each bidder’s sensory data, in order to award the artwork to the person who had the strongest sensory reaction to it. The Sensory Auction was part of Bombay’s wider mission to help democratise art by making it more accessible to all.
