The latest Great Performers Issue featured the 13 most talented actors of the year, chosen by The New York Times film critic A.O. Scott and photographed by Ruven Afanador. The photoshoots took place in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles, and one remote shoot in Tokyo, and featured the photographer's stripped-down Neo-Expressionist sets. The actors tapped into their craft for the shoot, summoning all kinds of remarkable characters, which resulted in six elegant yet modern covers.
