Plastic Pollution

A typical UAE resident uses on average over 450 plastic bottles a year, while the entire nation gets through nearly 11 billion plastic bags annually. A series of hand-painted posters were made to reflect these statistics, which were strategically placed in residential and office areas to show the impact of plastic waste on our oceans. Using watercolour techniques and colour palettes inspired by the ocean, the posters showed how marine life is being destroyed by plastic.
